YOGARTHI LIFE

YOGA

योगार्थि जीवनम्

The Sanskrit योगार्थि जीवनम् Yogārthi Jīvanam — means the life of one who seeks yoga, not just for physical fitness but as a life path.

THE YOGIC PATH

The Yogic path is both universal and personal, shaped by the timeless insights of sages, mystics, and philosophers.

Yogarthi Life embraces this vision, offering space for sincere practice, learning, and shared wisdom. All are welcome—whether beginning or deepening their journey.

Namaste! I’m Davie

As a Yogacharya once reminded me, echoing Seneca:      “As we teach, we learn.”

I teach traditional yoga to deepen my own practice and understanding. I fell in love with yoga—on and beyond the mat—while studying in India, where I was trained on the banks of the sacred Cauvery River by teachers rooted in the Vedic tradition.

Now, I'm building a community of Yogarthis—people walking the path of yoga as a way of life, guided by the wisdom of the sages who wish to live and study yoga.

I'm a certified RYT 500 with over 700 hours of training in traditional Hatha and Vinyasa yoga.

TRADITIONAL YOGA

I aspire to teach in a way that reflects the wisdom of my teachers. I walk this path to honour their guidance and strive to preserve and share their timeless knowledge, all imperfections in my teaching are mine alone, not theirs. Anything of any value flows from their wisdom and tradition.

Traditional yoga is more than just postures. Asana is an important step to profound practices for a mindful and meditative life. Physical discipline strengthens the body to still the mind, preparing us for deeper awareness.

"Yoga is the union of the individual and universal soul."

"When the body is steady, the mind becomes steady."

"Yoga is the practice of quieting the mind."

"Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self."
